Our rates
Our prices, published in full
We would rather you knew what this costs before you ring us than after. There are two rates, depending on how your care is being paid for, and there is nothing to pay for the first visit.
Direct Payment clients
£19.68per hour
Minimum 10 hours a week
If your care is funded by a Direct Payment from the council, this is the rate we charge. It is the lower of our two rates, and it comes with a minimum commitment of ten hours a week.
Private clients
£25per hour
If you are arranging and paying for your own care, this is the rate. There is no minimum contract and no set number of hours: you can have us once a week or every weekday, and change it when your needs change.
How payment works
- We invoice weekly, with one week paid in advance.
- We accept bank transfer or cash.
- Visits are a minimum of one hour. We do not do 15, 30 or 45-minute calls.
- If a visit runs more than 15 minutes over, we have to charge for another hour. That is because an overrun makes every visit after yours late for someone else.
- We need 24 hours' notice to cancel a visit. Cancel with more notice than that and there is nothing to pay.
- A visit cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice is charged at £25 per hour for the hours that were booked for the following day.
- If you end a package without giving us at least two weeks' notice, the week paid in advance is not refunded.
- We visit Monday to Friday, except for end of life care, which we provide seven days a week. Otherwise, at weekends care comes from your family or a care agency, and arranging it is for you to do.
- We take 6–8 weeks of holiday a year and we will always tell you our dates well ahead. Cover during our holidays is for you to arrange. We would rather say so plainly than send someone you have never met.

The first visit is free
Before anything is agreed or paid for, we come out to you at home, meet you properly and write down together what help you actually want. There is no charge for that and nothing to sign.
