At Debbie Anne, our Dog Walking service supports owners by ensuring their beloved pets receive the care and exercise they need. We understand the importance of pet companionship in enhancing the well-being of our senior clients. Trust us to provide a safe and loving environment for your furry friends while you focus on your health.
What’s included
- A walk of the length and pace he is used to, on the weekdays you choose
- His own lead, his own route, and the lamp posts he insists on
- Feeding at his usual time, fresh water, and the bowls washed up
- Muddy paws wiped and a wet coat dried before he is back indoors
- The garden or yard cleared, and mess picked up on the walk
- An honest word about how he was: appetite, energy, whether anything seemed off

Questions people ask
- What sort of dogs will you take?
- Ring and tell us about him properly: his size, how he is on the lead, what he does when another dog comes round the corner, and anything he is funny about. We will be honest with you about whether we are the right people. We would far rather say no than take on a dog we could not hold.
- Are you insured for it, and who actually comes?
- Everybody who comes to your door is DBS checked and the business is insured. That is the line in our footer and we mean it. If you want to know precisely what that cover means where your dog is concerned, ask us when we visit and we will go through it with you rather than wave it away.
- Can you look after the dog while I am in hospital?
- Ask us, with the dates and what he would need. We visit Monday to Friday, so someone else would need to see to him at the weekend. Whether we can commit to the weekdays depends on what else we have on, and a promise about a dog while you are in hospital is not one to make lightly — so we will be straight with you about what we can and cannot take on, before you go in rather than after.
- Could you just do the dog and nothing else?
- Yes, and plenty of people do exactly that. There is no expectation that it turns into anything more, though if it later suits you to add a bit of shopping or a cup of tea and a chat, that is easily arranged.

Your first visit is free
We come out to you at home, meet you properly, and write down together exactly what help you want and when. There’s no charge for that visit whether or not you go ahead.
Your assistant starts
Your assistant starts visiting on the days and times we’ve agreed together, and we stay in touch to make sure it’s working for you.
