Questions people ask

What if they are fussy? Will they eat what you make?
They will if it is their food. We would far rather cook the four or five things somebody genuinely likes, over and over, than produce something varied and healthy that goes in the bin. If there is a family recipe, write it down for us and we will make it that way.
Can you cook for a special diet?
Tell us what has been advised and by whom, and we will work to it. That might be sugar, salt, a food that has to be avoided, or the way something has to be prepared. Where those instructions come from a professional we follow them exactly rather than using our own judgement.
Can you leave meals for the days nobody is coming?
Yes, and that is how a lot of people use this. One visit can produce several days of dinners, all in the fridge or freezer with a label on, so the rest of the week only needs the microwave or the oven turning on.

How it works

  1. Have a chat

Give us a ring or send us a message and tell us what you’re finding difficult. There’s no obligation, and nothing to sign. If it’s urgent, say so: we can sometimes start straight away.

  2. Your first visit is free

We come out to you at home, meet you properly, and write down together exactly what help you want and when. There’s no charge for that visit whether or not you go ahead.

  3. Your assistant starts

Your assistant starts visiting on the days and times we’ve agreed together, and we stay in touch to make sure it’s working for you.
